When I come to you for in home lactation consulting, I spend about an hour and a half working with you and your baby. We will perform a comprehensive assessment, including your medical history, check for plugged ducts, and possible oral restrictions such as tongue or lip tie. I will assist you with latch and positioning, counsel you on the normal course of breastfeeding, and provide you with a complete care plan that you can implement at home. Payment is due at the time of service, and I will provide you with a superbill form for insurance reimbursement. Prenatal and follow up visits are also available for in home and virtual consultations.

*If you have insurance*

Isabel is a member of The Lactation Network (TLN). According to their website, “In addition to the Humana Pilot, we accept most Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Anthem PPO, and Cigna PPO plans, and all PNOA plans. Note that PNOA will often appear alongside other payers on the medical insurance card like Aetna or UHC. If the card includes the PNOA logo at all we can take them. We currently do not accept UHC at this time.”

Why is breast milk called liquid gold?

Breastmilk is truly amazing! It has often been called the “liquid gold” of infant nutrition. Unlike formula, the composition of human milk is not static and it adjusts to naturally meet your baby's needs.
